The Tata Sierra EV is an electric SUV that will soon be available in India. It will come out soon after the ICE (internal combustion engine) version comes out on November 25, 2025. It will use Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev platform and is expected to have a range of about 500 kilometres.

Final specifications haven’t been made public yet, but industry experts and recent teases have given us a lot of information on what to expect.

The Sierra EV combines Tata’s current “Digital” design style with elements from the past.
- Design: It keeps the original 90s Sierra’s famous boxy shape, including a reproduction of the characteristic curved-over rear side windows, which are now split into two portions to make room for the extra doors.
- Front Fascia: The EV version will have a closed-off front grille that is made just for EVs to improve aerodynamics. It will also have a sleek, full-width LED light bar below the bonnet line.
- Headlamps: The EV’s split headlamps are built into the bumper area individually, unlike the ICE version.
- Other things: There should be flush door handles, thick body cladding, roof rails, and an LED tail lamp that runs the whole length of the car.

Inside and Technology
The interior is intended to be high-end and full of technology, with a focus on spaciousness and comfort.
- Dashboard: The three-screen setup is a first for a Tata vehicle. It has a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment unit, and an entertainment screen for the co-driver.
- Comfort and convenience: Features are likely to include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and ambient lighting that changes colour.
- Audio: A high-end JBL sound system is expected.
- Practicality: The Sierra will have five seats and a plenty of room in the cabin. The back doors may also have sunshades.
Protection
Tata is known for making safe cars, and the Sierra EV is anticipated to keep that reputation.
- ADAS: A Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite is likely to come with features including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot recognition.
- Safety Features: There are anticipated to include many airbags (up to 7), electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) among other features.
- Features that are special to EVs: The car probably has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.
