The Nissan Sakura is a battery-electric kei car that was made just for the Japanese market. It is the best-selling EV in the country because it is small, cheap, and easy to drive. It came out in 2022 and is made at the same factory as the Mitsubishi eK X EV.
Prices in the Japanese Market
The Nissan Sakura’s low price is one of its best features, which is made even better by the fact that the Japanese government gives subsidies to electric cars.
| Grade | Suggested Price (Before Incentives) |
|---|---|
| Grade X | ยฅ2,599,300 |
| Grade G | ยฅ3,082,200 |
These prices are what they are before incentives are added. With help from the government, the end price is much lower, sometimes about the same as a used petrol car.
